About IELTS
The IELTS is an English Language Proficiency test that is taken by non-native students for study in countries where the medium of instruction is English. The British Council conducts the IELTS test and the test is conducted 4 times a month. The test is based on ‘Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking’ English. The test is of 4 hours duration and students need a minimum band score of 7 bands. The IELTS results have a validity of two years.

They have highlighted the dates for commencement of the classes and exams. The schedule is drawn in such a way that it does not interfere with the Final Exams at EGC. Since the results are valid for two year, the test will be valid to them when they apply for their visas in August 2011. Please note, as the course involves the services of an external partner, we will only be able to accommodate those students who have registered for the course on or before the 30th of September.

2. Industrial Visits – On the 21st and 22nd of October, we have organized an industrial visit to Vapi, Gujarat. The students will be visiting 4 – 5 companies where they will be exposed to the usage of machines, electronics and software in the manufacture of goods and materials.
